User Experience Lead

Position Summary:
The User Experience Lead is at the heart of all mid to large scale website and product development projects. The UX Lead works in a team environment and is responsible for defining the project/product scope as well as creating the conceptual frameworks and documentation designed to guide the development of user-centered design and technology solutions. This person has a strong vision for how technology and design can create usable, accessible and gratifying user experiences, within web and application development, mobile, and other emerging platforms. He or she is a natural when it comes to providing exceptional service and building trust with clients and the team.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with creative and technical team to develop proposals, SOW's (project scope, schedules, and budgets). Contribute to the strategic direction and vision of projects
• Define functionality, navigation, and interaction models
• Create UX project deliverables (wireframes, functional specifications, site maps, flows, etc)
• Work with teams to understand resource availability and plan resources effectively so as to produce deliverables and revisions to clients in a timely fashion
• Lead site audits (usability study of existing assets)
• Work closely with teams to ensure projects are delivered on strategy, on time, on budget
• Provide company-wide thought leadership on usability and user-centered design principles and understand when situations require deviating from those principles
• Help define research process and lead/participate in user testing as needed
• Contribute to RED process and knowledge sharing
• Represent user experience in pitch work and business development
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience lead UX on large scale websites and applications
• Full understanding of how to apply the methodologies of interaction design and research to website and product development
• Proven client management skills
• Capacity to think holistically about a client's business
• Solid written and visual communication skills
• Ability to collaborate extensively and play nicely with other intelligent and talented team members
• Open to feedback
• Able to adapt approach and process to fit project goals, timelines and other parameters
• Know when and how to defend strategy and design choices
• Collaborate with team to ensure we find perfect balance of innovation and usability
